Work Together Cycling (WTC) was founded in 2024 by passionate cyclists Jason Chase and Kent Woermann, driven by a commitment to nurture the next generation of riders through guidance, camaraderie, and competition. Building on the success of the Move Up Cycling Club Juniors Program, WTC was established to handle the financial aspects of running the program and create a dedicated space for young cyclists to learn, grow, and thrive.

Our journey began in 2018 with Kids on Gravel, a ride organized by the Move Up Off-Road Racing Team, which quickly sparked interest among young riders in the area. What started as a single event has now blossomed into a dynamic program offering three distinct 8-week seasons focused on road cycling, mountain biking, and cyclocross. Each season includes 8 practices led by professional coaches, volunteer coaches, and veteran racers who bring expertise, encouragement, and enthusiasm to every session.

We raise funds through events like the Muleskinner Gravel Classic, an annual gravel race in Lone Jack, MO, which is currently our primary source of funding, as well as donations from community members and other organizations. Thanks to the dedication of our community, volunteers, and sponsors, every dollar raised goes directly toward growing and enhancing the juniors program.

At WTC, we believe cycling is more than just a sport—it’s a way to develop resilience, discipline, and friendships that last a lifetime. Our mission is to foster a supportive and inclusive community that empowers young riders to build physical, mental, and emotional skills on and off the bike. We’re proud to help young cyclists find their strength, discover their potential, and enjoy every ride.
